Fab Four at their very best, gotta love those Beatles. A great snap shot of the early Beatles from around 1958-1964, apart from the Free As A Bird track that was released in 1994. It's packed full with 60 tracks. (HELLO, I said SIXTY fab tracks). Some warts and all practice session recordings where they went slightly wrong sometime which is quite funny, some concert sessions with screaming girls, and some serious top quality recordings.

Anthology 1 is an essential item and a must have for Beatles collectors and fans alike, and it has a quaintness that I recall from the 60s when I was very young, and the good spirit and humour of John and the others comes across very nicely. It's a double CD and there is a great booklet inside 46 pages long plus cover that shows some fab photos and a short description of each song. Second hand was my purchase, cost me a fiver off eBay, but it's 25 quid in HMV on the high street, and the booklet alone was worth a fiver.
